I’ve been a treasure hunter and collector all my life.
I grew up going to antique stores, flea markets, and used books stores with my father. I have many fond memories of trips to Brimfield, watching and learning as he searched, found and negotiated deals for his passion-of-the-moment, be it vintage postcards or Mobil memorabilia, antique furniture or Queen Anne candlesticks.
I began my own collecting in high school, and have always had a fondness for kitchenware, cookbooks, figurines, board games and travel souvenirs.
As space filled up, I realized that there were many things in my collections that I still loved, but never used anymore. So why not go on the other side of the treasure hunt and help others find that unique & fun special piece to add to their collections?
And so in 2014, Mad Mama Vintage was created… as a way to share my love of all things fun & funky… and perhaps support the acquisition of some new collections.
And now in 2018, Mama is moving out of the garage and into her own storefront right in Stoughton Center! Open Nov 10, Mad Mama Vintage is a fun and varied collection of vintage finds, quirky nostalgia & one-of-a-kind treasures- it’s never the same place twice when you visit! In addition, I’ve added a group of talented local artists/artisans/creators to the store, known as “Jack of All Trades Artisans” who display a wide range of creativity and bring a special local flair to the space.
